Motivational interviewing is a directive, client-centered counseling style for eliciting behavior change by helping clients to explore and resolve ambivalence.
The teach-back method is a communication confirmation method to confirm whether a patient understands what is being explained to them.
Trauma-informed care is a framework for working with and relating to people who have experienced negative consequences after exposure to dangerous experiences.
