Take Care of Your Kidneys
One of the best things you can do this month is to continue learning how you can take care of your kidneys.
Limit your salt intake. Too much dietary salt can make it difficult for the kidneys to function.
Exercise. High blood pressure is a risk factor for kidney disease, and physical activity can help lower blood pressure.
Stay hydrated. Our kidneys perform best when they have plenty of water to remove toxins.
Be aware of medications. There are some over-the-counter medications, such as ibuprofen, that can cause kidney damage over a period of time. Know the risks of your medication and how it could be affecting your kidneys.
